On the occasion of the UCI Roadcycling World Championship 2018 in Tirol, the Provincial Association Tyrol of the Austrian Amateur Radio Society (OeVSV) is issuing an official award, which can be applied for by radio amateurs and SWL from all over the world.
In the period from 21.09.2018 to 01.10.2018, stations with the special callsign/prefix OE18... are QRV in Austria.
To achieve the award, a corresponding number of these special stations must be logged.
Only one connection per band can be counted with the same station.
There is no band restriction. All modes of operations can be used.
The award can be obtained in the operating modes SSB, CW, digital, mixed and QRP (max.10 watts).
All Austrian amateur radio stations are invited to support this award. For this purpose it is necessary to apply for the respective callsign OE18abc at the local office (Fernmeldebüro) of the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology.

To be able to apply for the award, at least 10 points must be reached,
OE18X** (e.g. OE7XCI, OE7XKJ Clubstations) are valued at 3-points
OE18*** (e.g. OE7AAI, OE7MPI Personal Callsigns) are valued at 1-point.
The award is free of charge and will be sent in PDF format upon request.
